Doordash has the delivery guys call me when they're at my door and makes me feel bad about not tipping. Might switch back to uber eats. Curious if it is ok to not tip, I feel like it's a waste of money with all the delivery and service fees anyways. Especially times when the restaurant is sometimes < 5 minute drive

If the consumer doesn’t tip, then less delivery drivers available. Low supply of delivery drivers, then higher salaries for drivers?
What the actual fuck is wrong with you assholes?
I also said I’m not even talking about your views on tips. Personally I tip them because a tip is what makes their time worthwhile, whether they’re broke or not.
You called them unemployable and I am specifically calling you out for that. You cannot be judging them as unemployable because they choose to do this job.
As for “whining about low tips and wages” - Again, this has nothing to do with you not tipping them, but apparently they’re not allowed to tell you how they feel about it too? Many of them have other reasons and this is not even their only gig if they do it part time. I don’t know if you heard but many Americans have multiple jobs and still can’t make ends meet, not because they’re incapable but because that’s the hand millennials have been dealt.
They may be doing favors in your view , But I think otherwise - We are helping them to earn , to live and whatever small %age they get from food delivery companies along with 5-10$ of tips we add.
All I am saying is Microsoft shouldn't be called out names because he feels the service provided was not appreciable for a tip , because every order just generates some income to the delivery.
Just curious to know if you tip UPS , Usps, FedEx, Amazon delivery partners? Do you tip DOCs, NPs , janitors? They are also doing favors by your logic.
Professional services aren't favors.
