Meta changed it's policies around dinner and I spent most of the day reading through all the drama and comments on the announcement. How did you spend your Thursday?

  Isn’t that product direction also a function of autonomy? I’ve heard engineering at Meta and G has more autonomy over product direction than product does (unlike Amazon)

Feeling kind of stuck in my career. I’ve done over 600 LCs in the past 3 months, but haven’t applied to a single company. Not sure where I want to head next. Think I’m just burnt out. This job used to be fun.

  Yeah I’m considering jumping to G or MSFT as a rebound from my slump. It’s a shame though. I did like the AMZN and Meta move fast culture, but the constant obsession with “delivering results” or “focusing on impact” sometimes ends up guiding roadmaps in uninspiring directions when there’s cooler work to be done.
