Walmart delvers in 2 day for free.
You have curb side pick up for groceries.
Also there is Walmart prime (?) if you want same day delivery.
What value add Instacart provides ?
For eg, rt now I was trying to use Instacart. 23$ grocery bill ended up to 36$. I am like WTF? For 23$ bill I am paying 13$ extra. Hell no. Plus some how I feel groceries are expensive in insta they raise the prices. I am Anti-Instacart!!
Insta just happens to be the child of Silicon Valley like Uber was so gets the limelight.
Crowdsourced independent contractors for running errands like Uber, Instacart, Doordash are good tech spaces to work in but shitty businesses. There is not competitive advantage to the next person with just $100k dollars to make a similar product. Then get VC money to throw in discounts and drive away customers from your app.
Instacart does not own any assets, grocery catalogues are owned by retailer. Delivery person are at will contractors.
What are you actually investing in? Sawdust?
Even the most overvalued stocks in this weird market have a stand-alone product to offer.
