Hi,
Does the lawyer/employer get an email about the reason for issuing the RFE or do they know when they receive the hard copy.

I have been asking my employer for the reason for RFE and they have been telling me that they are yet to receive the RFE hard copy.

Any insights guys?

Fingers crossed it's just a rookie mistake on the lawyers end and they meesed up the documents..but as the saying goes, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I would say start thinking about how your specific background and courses tie into the job responsibilities and why your technical background is needed for the job. The sooner you think and start putting it on paper, the more you have time to iterate.

Its a google search (ugh). I guess I can do your work for you: AOS = adjustment of status.

Yup. The reason is only communicated in the hard copy. I got an RFE for my AOS, so I’ve experienced first-hand.

OP, from what I heard from other colleagues who got a RFE, the details around the reason are listed in the actual notice as opposed to email. Email is probably just used to notify but the nitty gritty details are listed out in the actual notice
