FB reality Lab Silicon Architect interview
I am being considered for 2 positions with 2 different teams ( but both VR teams):
1 - first one is SoC performance modeling role:
it involves working with multiple units and it has breadth more than depth in terms of technical exposure.
location is Redmond, but I have the option to work remotely
2 - second one is related to graphics workload capture and analysis:
it also involves doing performance modeling and architecture support for graphics pipelines in the HW.
location is in bay area and they "might" consider remote work for the right candidate.
Would you please help me out with these questions:
- which position should I focus on ? I like both, but it seems if I do job 2 , I will always be on the graphics side. while job 1 offers wider learning experience.
- what should I expect for onsite interview ? would it be all algorithms/data struct questions like Google do ? or will it focus more on Architecture side? is FB interviews considered harder than Google interview or on the same level ?
I consider this to be my first serious career move and I don't want this opportunity to slip from my hand. I appreciate any help or tips you might share.
