@nutanix It doesn't depend upon your yoe afaik That target TC is the bottom of the band for L5 (as of FY2021, Q2), so all internal promos will get that.
As for time promotion to L5, on an average it is 2 years, for interns it is earlier, 1.5 years. Some very good people can do it in 1 year (there are 2 people I know who did it in 1, both joined as fresh grads and they were very good)
Excluding promotions, the process is as follows: They create a bell shaped curve of people in the team on the basis of review One person at the top gets raise of upto 10-12℅ with 1-2 stocks. People with "Exceeds" get raise of ~7% to ~9% "Meets" get ~5% to ~7% "Needs improvement" get 0%
SDE1 rarely gets placed in exceeds but it's possible to be even at the top if you have a good manager. Though it will never happen in your first year.
