Hi blind family,
My wife and I are considering getting a SFH in a better school district (kid on the way) in the bay area and looking for advice on areas/ zipcodes to consider.
Currently we own a townhome in 94560 but middle and high schools are crappy as well as need more space in the next 3-4 year horizon. Can sell and use equity for the SFH 20% down.
Given how the stock/housing market conditions are, we want to lock in a bigger place we can grow a family now versus waiting for 5-7 years when it might be even harder and have to leave the bay itself.
My realtor has shown areas in South San Jose (95123) in our budget of 1.5-1.85M but looking for guidance on other areas to consider. Not too worried about the commute given I'll go remote or 1-2 times a week regardless.#mortgage #mortgage

Current combined TC - 450k ( I work in SSF but mostly going remote + wife works in a startup in mountain view)
PS: Joined stripe last year but not counting on the paper money yet. The market crash has made me question the real worth of that equity if/when I make it to the 1 year cliff.
