I am about to get an offer from Walmart (Sam's club), recruiter has asked for expected salary and benefits. How much would be a realistic starting number for: Base, joining bonus and RSU ? Position: SDE 3 YOE: 3 Location: Dallas,TX
You will probably get offered around 105-110 base, 6k/yr stock and 20+% bonus. Bonus can get up to 30%.
Annual bonus is fixed i.e 20% of your Base. Usually you will get 100% of this 20% ( unless you get the lowest rating). If you get promoted its 10% hike else 🥜
Base is 95k and bonus is 20% and I don’t think you get anything else
Alright ! Recruiter also told me that bonus is paid on prorated basis but if i don't join on or before nov 1 i will not get bonus for 3 months Nov-jan Is this even true ? I thought if its prorated i would still get the bonus for the months i work, before their new financial cycle begins
Can you share details about your offer?
Base was 87, 5k sign on, 6k stock over 4 yrs, 20% annual bonus
Did you negotiate?
Did u take the offer how much do u make?? I got offered 71k base for SWE II new grad

Should I leave Amazon for Walmart?
I was told that a high end TC for Walmart L3 was around 150. The overall experience was pretty trashy though and they lowballed me hard at around 120k when I make more in a way cheaper area. I think base 126, 20k bonus, 6k equity for L3.
Was your offer for California Location ? I suspect that given the location is Dallas, they would go even lower on the initial offer.
