I have an offer with amazon this summer in Vancouver. Last week I received a court summons because I was given a ticket for fishing without a license. Apparently, this can create a misdemeanor in my file. I was wondering, if I'm not able to get that off my file, would Amazon rescind the offer based on the background check's result?

A friend of mine joined amazon with a class 1 misdemeanor involving drunk driving. I highly doubt that a fishing ticket would make a difference.

Not sure how it is everywhere in the world but where I am, you can't go fishing anywhere without a license and they have basically fishing police going around and checking people.

Not sure about being under the influence, I would say no as long as you are not completely drunk

Many places have laws to prevent over fishing and you need to buy a license. In North America it’s quite cheap to buy it from most states. It’s enforced by fish and game warden. Usually there are separate license for freshwater and saltwater fishing
