Hello Friends, I need help to make a decision.
I received an offer from Facebook London and Google Zurich for an SWE role. Due to the covid-19 situation, I cannot get a work visa to Zurich because the consulate is closed till further notice. Facebook however has offered to allow me work from my current location due to an alternate work arrangement that enables me to work from my country of residence. Should I go with the facebook offer or wait for Google?

London is relatively less expensive and one of the best city to live in, but London pay sucks.
One of the factors you should probably consider is your life outside of work. Zurich is an amazing city, which I like visiting when I need to just relax. But I just cannot imagine living there. The city isn't half as vibrant as London, and there's not much to do in general. But if you are looking to avoid the daily hustle of London, Zurich could be an option to consider.
Also, there's not much big tech in Zurich apart from Google. The other FAAMG offices in Zurich don't house a lot of teams. London on the other hand has major offices of a lot of tech companies (honestly, among the ones that are really popular on Blind, only LinkedIn and Uber seem to be missing in London). In fact, some of these companies have major presence in London and in Cambridge and Oxford, which are within an hour of train ride from London.
