Can't decide: Microsoft (India) vs Booking.com (Amsterdam)
I'm holding offers from Microsoft (India) and Booking(Amsterdam) and can't decide which one to join. Would love the help of Blind here.
Microsoft (India) offer: Rs. 82L
Rs. 40L (Base) + Rs. 8L (Variable) + Rs. 22.5L (RSU) + Rs. 10L (Joining Bonus) + Rs. 1.53L (Relocation)
Booking.com (Amsterdam) offer: Euro 126k per year
Euro 96k (base) + Euro 14.4k (Variable) + Euro 16k (RSU)
My Booking interview didn't go well and I was downgraded by one level during interviews. I know the net savings will be higher for Booking.com but feel I can get a better offer if I keep applying for more roles in Europe. On the other hand the temptation of having Microsoft brand in my resume is also strong. Please help.
Note: I have left my last company and hence staying back in current company is not an option.
Blind tax: Rs. 35LPA @yoe:7
Edit: Booking has “30% ruling” whereby 30% of salary for expats is not taxed. Hence, Amsterdam isn’t very high tax like rest of Europe.

Booking.com: The largest selection of hotels, homes, and vacation rentals

I estimate Rs. 15L Fixed expenses for Booking vs Rs. 6L for Microsoft.
So, Booking still is more savings.
Round 2: Hiring manager screening
Round 3: Product strategy (standard questions)
Round 4: Engineering round
Round 5: culture fit
None of the questions were extraordinary or difficult. I think biggest challenge is getting the interview shortlist.
profile ?
and microsoft L62 or L63 ?, Where did you went finally ?
