The last few years has been extremely financial rewarding, my NW is currently at ~5M if exclude the pre-IPO stock from another company - which will IPO in the next 2 years and by then my NW will easily exceed 15M.

With that said, I'm still extremely curious with various technology, and am always amazed with quality of stuff other folks engineered together, and feels I'm a pretty mediocre engineer. Even though I've been in the industry for over 15 years and have always been challenging myself.

Sometimes, I feel the industry is spoiled with the hot demand, mediocre engineer like me get thrown a lot of money even without actually doing anything that useful.

Some other time, I feel sorry for people around who seem just as mediocre but think they are amazing. I always hear people say IC4 is already technically strong enough and focus should be shift to people skills, which I just cannot agree.

Who else feels the same?
