How does Adobe ESPP work?

Say I joined in Jan 1, 2017. Does the two year look back begin on Jan 1, 2017 and moving forward only?

Or am I able to purchase stock on my first day (Jan 1, 2017) at the lowest point between 2015-2017?

  • So Adobe has 2 year too? I thought only my company was doing a 2 year window. Back when I was at a different company we got 6 months looks and it worked better. Does Adobe offer concurrent offerings during the 2 year window?

    • You have to wait for a window to open - every 3 or 4 months they have an offering at which point you have a choice of how much to contribute up to a cap determined by % of your salary. You could go 25% of the max each period which will be in a sense 6 months windows since every quarter you would have a purchase...

If you started Jan 1 you would get locked in July 1 at %15 below market price on July 1 (might be closing price on June 30) and you would get to purchase at that price for 2 years.

I haven't seen anything that would agree with your statement. I'm under the impression you have to have everything set up by market close on Dec 31, but you may be right.

Does this every reset within the 2 year lock? What happens if prices falls significantly below the lock price? Are you just out of luck?

Your 2 years starts from Jan 2017. In 2019, your locking price will get updated.

Interesting. Thnx. Seems very manager dependent/specific then.

Career progression mostly comes down to you taking the lead of your own career (vs expecting your manager to know what you want and map it out for you) - which means talking with your manager about what you want and (hopefully) and getting their help in getting there.
For the most part, there are no "tracks" you just get on and magically progress with time. If you want to progress linearly, you can, but it's not assumed and you have to take the initiative in defining and working toward that
