Before the stock fall, salary was around 460k as L6 sde. If I make it through interview, team match and HC, can I leverage my current salary to ask for 550k for at least 2 years? I don’t have competing offers. Location: Seattle
Happy with the team here but want to try something new. But if the pay bump is not even 10%, I’m not moving. Currently team matching phase.

A competing offer doesn’t mean shit if they don’t want you anyway. If they want you, then you can get the offer you want or just walk.
Source: I have received out of band offer from G before without competing offer.
The other thing is, the recruiter doesn’t know you’re willing to take X when you say you’re going to walk if you don’t get X+Y.
But yeah in this scenario it is easier if you have competing offers. Still not impossible though.
