What's the best way to do this. Esp for intra band promos that have no title change?

Thanks!

A resume isn't meant to be an exhaustive list of everything you've done. It's meant for a quick scan and people will ask about details later. That's why you supplement it with descriptions. Please keep your resume to 1-2 pages max depending on your yoe. No one wants to read resumes where it's an autobiography.

Those levels are only pretend encouragement. Outside your management chain, no one would care. You could still list chronological order. Honestly encouraging cultures do not need too many levels.

How much is the raise though? I got 7-8% base raise without a promotion

Your responsibility increases gradually and if there is anything related to the promotion, it should happen before, not after getting the promotion.

The yearly merit increase is something else. The promo merit increase is an extra 8-10% or so in addition to the yearly.

I listed my Amazon sde 1 and sde 2 positions separately on linked in. A few months after that update, a google recruiter contacted me and during our initial talk, he mentioned that he noticed my promotion.

A few months of interviewing after that and here I am.

I would mention level changes if they result in title changes, so that my LinkedIn accurately reflects my job title.

To me a bigger problem are the people who give themselves job titles that are actually not their job title, to inflate themselves. So they start calling themselves "architect" or "team lead" when their title was actually "software developer", etc.

Someone duly recording their level may be making it longer than it needs to be but at least is being honest.
