I'm going to graduate with a BS in comp sci this Spring and have two full time SWE offers to decide between. They are both in Seattle which is where I want to be so location isn't a factor.
Redfin (return offer from internship)
+ Liked the team
+ Better WLB
+ Should be promoted within 2 years
- Less compensation
- Less stable in the event of a recession
Amazon
+ Well known name (does this look significantly better on a resume?)
+ More compensation
- Unknown promotion timeline
- Unknown team assignment
On one hand, I feel like I should take the extra money at this stage in my life but on the other hand, its really nice to be done at 5pm and not feel any pressure to take work home. I think what's making the decision hard is that there's a lot I don't know about Amazon and based on what I've heard, it sounds like your experience can vary widely depending on your team (and I won't know my team until I start). Are there other factors that I should be considering here?
I have to make this decision by tomorrow so TIA for any advice!

Trust me, you can always go to Amazon after Redfin. You mustβve been grinding in college as it is, take Redfin and chill and work on leetcode and system design in the meantime. Move companies after 2 years or so, youβll be very well prepared.
