Good job for preventing CCP from buying up American corporations, startups, and land via ‘investors’. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/21/us/politics/china-investment-trade-war.html
It may be a good thing. Like with intermittent fasting, toxins of an economy need to get flushed out once in a while.
About time for the startup bubble to burst. Too many shit startups living off free money.
Good, we don't need CHYNA.
China is all CCP. USA is all trump.
Yeah USA is so trump half the population compare him to Hitler all day and tweet at him. What a fascist
Fake news
It’s not a good thing because it dries up investments in startups etc
We have more than enough capital in the states. No need for capital that comes with a big proven potential Of IP theft.
hi op. thanks for your reply. IMO if you know the conflict between US and Britian around two centuries ago, you should know how IP theft from Europe to US made US the current industrial leader. China is basically doing the same thing we did before. The question is will we, the tech workers, benefit from the fact that China becomes a competitor with US in the tech market, or not? A good read of how US transfered tech from Britain https://www.apnews.com/b40414d22f2248428ce11ff36b88dc53
Yeah and look where that left the British? So you’re just arguing for the US to be more stringent in protecting its IP. Obviously we benefit from China not stealing our IP, otherwise they can benefit from cheaper labor and lower standards and CCP bankroll to drive US companies and workers out of jobs.
I’m not arguing for any statement. I’m just wondering what's the cost and the benefit of the rising of China in tech. I think why Britain left behind is arguable. but facebook benefit from the rising of China by arguing that if US regularizes FB heavily China will win the battle. see a recent TechCrunch article https://techcrunch.com/2019/07/17/facebook-or-china/
This is a good thing.
