This is my situation: - On F1 OPT currently - H1B picked, filed, approved (this week). - I-140 filed and approved (this week). Now my lease is ending in 30 days and I’ll be subletting at a friends place for 3-4 months. If I need to change address, I understand that I need to update AR11, DSO (since I’m still in F1), notify employer, etc. but does this cause any implications on either sides: H1B or I-140? For H1B, it’s approved but yet to be stamped, so I’m in between stages. Reached out to company attorney but need to get some clarity sooner.. I’d appreciate any inputs, thanks! #workvisa #h1b #I140
Is it temporary? Will you come back to your original apt?
It’s temporary because after those 3-4 months, I’ll move to a new state. I’ve started the process with HR but it’ll take some time to get processed. I won’t move back to the original apartment.
I guess my main doubt is H1B is filed and approved. Now if I change address before stamping, is there anything I need to be mindful of
Just inform USCIS that you changed your address, that’s it. https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11
Nope
So it’s just as straightforward as letting employer & USCIS know? No implications? :)
