Hey peeps, can I have some folks who can refer me to Apple or Google cloud? I’m a PM and looking to move to big tech after spending almost a decade in startups. TC: $0k (laid off)

Mind sharing some valuable tips for someone looking to join the PM world, Product Manager Courses / Trainings to join for certification and experience

Sure, Please note that the trainings and certifications has no value during hiring but are good starting point for knowledge gathering. Suggest - Product School, Product Alliance web resources. Books: Decode and Conquer, Cracking the PM Interview, The Product Manager Interview. Essentially, as a PM think of WHY always. At least 3 levels deep. E.g. we need to develop feature X, ask Why? To accomplish Y, ask again Why we need to accomplish this? To gain marketshare or users, or increase revenue - again ask WHY all of these are important right now? What else we need to de-prioritize to make room for this feature and so on. Another aspect is - think from your users perspective. Would they find what you are building useful? Would they be able to discover it? Would they be able to use it the way it is intended? Would this feature remove a specific pain point? Would it make them efficient, reduce risk for them, increase their revenue, or performance? Can you quantify the gains? What is the metric that would tell you that your goal is achieved? How will you make sure? third aspect is GTM - how will your internal teams (Prod Marketing, Sales, finance, sales engg) know about this feature. How you will enable those teams? Is this new feature going to be priced separately? Whats the price? How will it help your sales team to sell better? and so on...
