I accepted the Walmart offer without reading too much about the stock vesting timelines. My offer says something like this " Stock Compensation: Typically around April of each year, associates who were in an stock-eligible position on March 31st may be granted a Walmart Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) stock award. This position is eligible to receive an annual Stock award in an amount equivalent to $100,000.00. The actual amount of your award will be based on your performance. The grant will vest over a three-year period. The exact vesting dates for awarded shares will be specified in the award document provided to you in connection with each grant." The offer letter does not have anything about new hire RSU. I thought that this was implied from what the recruiter told me. I will be joining around end of April. Does that mean that I will get my first grant only in April 2025 ? I am waiting to hear back from HR regarding this but does anyone from Walmart know about this ? #walmart #rsu TC - 0 now
Had similar experience and No new hire RSUs. Was told that I will receive RSU on March 31. Just curious, can you please share offer details?
OP, which location are u referring to?
I received an offer last year (which I declined) but I remember it included a new hire grant of 15k plus the sign on bonus. It also mentioned I had to commit to work for 2 years, otherwise I had to return everything. Besides that i think they offered 100k in RSUs to vest in 3 years
Thanks. Mine does not mention about the new hire grant. I just thought that the first grant will be issued once I join :(
Do we have to return the money even if the company lays us off?
