Should I Put My Dog Down?
Hey guys, I'm senior dev (known as baba) at media.net. What questions you have regarding media.net, ask me, I'm happy to answer. I'm posting it specifically for folks who are seeking jobs in media.net and have doubts. Internal news since last few months - 1. Layoff has been going since last couple of weeks. It's not exactly firing, but a forced resign, to save their own a** in the market. Even a director is fired who was loyal to media.net since more than 15 years. More to come. 2. They are paying very little severance package, just 2 months salary, and that also because they have to due to this much notice period. Otherwise they would have send them off with no pay. They have threatened some with no pay as well. And yes, bouncers news is true. 3. Work Life balance has been ruined since last few months, atleast in some teams. 4. Hierarchy is literally bad here, promotions are totally based on experience, and not on skills. Some seniors are getting lesser pay than SDE 2, just bcz they joined earlier at lesser pay and got promoted based on the yoe. 5. Employees' mental health is at worst at this time, noone is happy honestly, everyone is seeking jobs in the open market. 6. Despite having a tough interview process, Media.net is not matching pay with other companies, and giving a bad environment to work. 7. I have seen them hiring external SDEs and paying more rather than promoting and paying internal SDEs. 8. Management is pretty fu**ed up in media.net right now, from leads to directors to HR. #WLB #layoff #media.net #MNet
Is it bought by bhavin and them these layoffs happening ?
Yes
Do you have any idea about the new grad offers (2024)? What would happen to them?
High chances... No revoking of new joinee's offers. 2 reasons - 1. IITs will ban MNet if it happens. 2. They want to fill jobs with lesser paid employees after firing some higher salaried employees.
Please repost this in multiple topics to let people know what kind of firm this is even after difficult hiring process.
