I have sent 100s of resumes but I’m not getting any bites. I had Rezi.ai redo my resume and I feel like it looks really good. I’ve been working in IT for over 20 years. Currently an IT Director. It’s really disheartening to get such little response. I have tried linked in, indeed, zip recruiter and dice. Does anyone have any advice? I really hate my current job. I feel like it’s aging me. Thank you all for your advice.
1. Get your resume reviewed by either r/EngineeringResumes on Reddit or here on Blind, just because you think it looks good doesn't actually mean it is. 2. Start networking by attending meetup groups, tech conferences, etc. Having a connection with the hiring manager or just someone on your team before interviewing is a MASSIVE advantage. 3. Relax and trust the process. It sounds cliche, but in this environment job hunting is rough, don't be too hard on yourself. Best of luck!
Thank you! I will look into these.
MBA? Never done it but I hear it’s a great way to pivot. And like the top schools in the US have GPA requirements of like 3.0. Academic standards are easy.
I love working in IT. I would hate to change careers.
lol. top US MBA programs w lax entrance requirements? Are you drunk? They’re basically as selective as other top grad programs. Nobody gets in on the minimums. Expect to be in the top 2-5% on tests and GPA or have done something remarkable elsewhere. It is a great pivot, tho
