Comp is literally the only reason to consider this place
Caesars sportsbook is circling the drain. No use of customer data or feedback to drive features. Completely disconnected and pompous leadership group all just worried about keeping the CTO happy, when he’s attending things between vacations. Status update meetings galore due to management disconnect from work being done. No middle management (cost savings ploy) that results in the above disconnection. Want a raise or promotion? You get to do an extensive write up beyond any performance review you’ve ever done. All so your manager can likely decline it. In training sessions regarding the process, leadership flat out danced around questions about how frequently these are approved. No work life balance and no psychological safety. Flat org and distributed decision making doesn’t exist when you need sign off on everything or end up being ridiculed for not getting it. The team level people are great but this place is overall horrible. Praying the CTO and his frat buddies from college that run this dumpster fire are sent packing before I find a new job. And that mindset is not an uncommon one among current employees.
