Management and engineering leadership take an active role in making changes to improve the work quality of life for individual contributors. The people I've worked with here have been some of the best I've ever worked with in my entire career. The product fills a good niche and has the capacity to do well.
Compensation is average (for the Midwest) and there are some pay equity problems. Executive leadership made a tactical gamble by selling CrashPlan, probably to make Code42 more appealing as an acquisition. Since then the company has had two layoffs, with the last one being a significant headcount reduction. Many workplace perks have been reduced or eliminated, and nearly all of the Employee Resource Groups are seeking new leadership. The company will probably need significant active changes to meaningfully course-correct.
