What is it like to transition in the workplace? As part of the International Trans Day of Visibility, two Ford employees spoke with Ed Rogers, UK chair and global vice chair of Ford Pride, about their experiences. Despite her fear and trepidation, “my colleagues all provided a universal show of support,” Jane says. “As a people leader I regard respect as the hallmark of everything my role requires of me. It’s what I can bring to a conversation or task that’s important, and that’s exactly how my colleagues have treated me.” #WeAreFord #FordPride Interested in working with a supportive team? For Terra Lee, it’s all about learning. When she joined Ford as a manufacturing engineer, she expected she’d be learning new technology and traditional automotive manufacturing. Since then, though, she’s also had the opportunity to learn the business side of a new battery industry, and gained experience in a fast ramp-up to help Ford produce ventilators during the pandemic. “The great thing about battery manufacturing is that we’re all learning and adapting together as we go. It’s an exciting place to be.” #WeAreFord Are you looking for a wide range of developmental opportunities at a global company? Join us as a global manufacturing engineer.
