- The clout (Star wars, dinosaurs, o.g. practical effects dudes/dudettes still around to casually bump into, etc) - genuinely nice people - if you’re not attached to a high-priority show, management mostly leaves you alone to get your work done. If you like working slow, can be good for you. If not, then can be frustrating. - work is generally interesting - can visit the other studios
- behind on modern tech stacks - pay is atrocious - hard to move into leadership positions - can be hard to start large impactful projects
