-The Finance dept culture does care about its people and tries to keep them happy. This seems to be the theme in the rest of the firm as well. -Work-life balance is great in Finance. (This may depend on the dept) -Remote work is very common esp in Finance, ranging from 1-2 office days/week to 1-2 office days/mo (depends on the sub-group in Finance) -The pace is slower. (This is a pro or con depending on how fast a pace you like.) -There is room to take initiative and create new deliverables, esp if there is a need for that reporting, but it does not exist yet.
These are not really cons, but things to be aware of: -This is not a tech firm, so it does not have tech-firm/FAANG salaries. -The pace is slower. (This is a pro or con depending on how fast a pace you like.) -This is not a "fintech" insurance company like Lemonade or Hippo (if you want that culture). -This is a small firm and may have fewer opportunities/roles to move around/move up in. -May have to work outside of M-F 9a-6p at times, but may be able to work out comp time with manager.
