The tech team is top-notch. I enjoyed and learned a lot while working with backend, mobile, hardware, cryptography, etc. Everybody is really helpful and committed to get things done. The group is very welcoming, diverse and from different cultures and backgrounds. There was a remote first culture.
If you are looking for work-life balance, stay away from this place. They only expect you to work and do nothing else of your life. Management is the worst I've seen in 15 years in the industry. They change their mind by the hour, there are no definitions about anything, and everybody is trying to understand what the CEO is dreaming about. Trying to meet crazy deadlines is part of your daily work. The CEO has no knowledge of what he's talking about, doesn't understand the consequences or implications of what he's asking for, nor the time it takes to get things done. He lives in a parallel and delusional world. He listens to nobody that tries to give advice or raises any concern about anything he says. The CEO makes really rookie mistakes that make me wonder how he got to that position. He wants to get a full product completely polished with a billion of features instead of doing incremental releases, testing, measuring and iterate from there. The management is REALLY toxic. You will have to get used to phrases like: - We are not building anything that goes against the laws of physics. - This can be done by me in a single day, I can't understand how it takes a week for an engineer. - You will have to work, day, night and weekends. No matter what. The allocation of the spending is just ridiculous, they fly part of the team to attend ridiculous meetups or to organize parties and give handcrafted and customized swag to holders of NFTs while at the same time, they say they have to cut the spending... So if you are a VC reading this, I would be careful putting money in this company, they are just blowing away the founding. There is a massive layoff per year. CTO (Simon) is great, patience, extremely smart, a lot of knowledge. It's sad he doesn't stop Denis more often.
