I have only been with the company for a few years but I have been enjoying it. The pay is fair in my opinion, the health benefits take a huge chunk out of your paycheck but otherwise I am still satisfied with my monthly pay. I have a manager that supports my decisions and will also back me up when other managers want to ask questions. I know some people have been at the company for a longtime and can remember "back in the day" but I feel like the company culture is mostly healthy. I can take PTO without being questioned about it, my boss doesn't micro manage ever, people around me seem to enjoy their work. We also have great offices around the Puget Sound area.
Cons..... There has been some issues at PSE with RTO. It was my understanding when I was hired that WFH was going to stay, then one day out of the blue the decision is reversed? Not a good look on the people at the very top. Mary our CEO.... she seems like someone who would smile to your face and then stab you in the back as you walked away. Probably not fair to say that, I would like to try the "could I enjoy a beer with this person" test with Mary but I know that would never happen. So I don't want to completely judge her, who knows what goes on at the top.
Puget Sound Energy filed for a rate increase earlier this year that would increase the average customer’s monthly electric bill by about $8 in 2023.
