Good work/life balance. Pay is OK-ish. Lots of container action around.
SUSE used to be a good place to work but the company has missed too many opportunities. The Rancher acquisition is getting many people excited and it has strong growth on % (of course! It's starting from virtually zero!). But the company is killing its SUSE products and becoming Rancher painted green. New management since Melissa (and then Sheng) took over is a disaster. Even worse with Sheng but at least he says something when he talks. Engineering has too much power, they are trying to say where products go but they don't really know the market or the customers, they make decisions based on "oh, cool technology". If you want a very quiet place to work and you don't mind being a wallflower with no ambitions, this is your place. Otherwise, avoid.
