The ability to work on your own time and schedule the day how you feel you need to. General lack of micro management company wide. Company events were a lot of fun pre-covid, and it showed that several people worked hard on those events. The culture internally was great, people cared about one another, individual contributors would help others get stuff done and help out on outside projects. There should hopefully be more room to grow within Cisco, and more opportunities for all involved.
Difficult to move between teams/departments, from promotion standpoint. Peer/Review sessions have never been transparent on actions that need to be worked on, even when asking follow up questions. A lot of promises have been thrown around, but a lot of those promises have fallen short or under delivered. Move faster with certain work, going through the approval process via internal politics really slows things down. This needs/needed to be improved.
