The people are generally good to work with, certainly better than other places I have been. People are generally down to earth. Leadership does consistently put unnecessary pressures and unreasonable timelines on management that can change this from time to time. The company is very stable. Even when they miss their goals they’re still growing or maintaining even in weird markets. This business is mostly weather based due to the customer base it supports, but that is evolving as the number one selling category is not pet foods for household pets vs farm-specific equipment and goods. Flexible/unlimited PTO RSU plan for Mangers and above Decent bonus plan, usually 7-10% for IC roles that scales with company performance A couple pieces of the benefits package are phenomenal, the rest are average at best
Outside of those Pros, everything is pretty mid. The compensation strategy strategy is literally targeting the 50th percentile in every role at every level - quite literally to be as mediocre as possible with cash. No extreme grievances. I wish the mission was more aligned to my personal interests and generally more fulfilling or motivating, but that’s absent unfortunately. No real excitement behind the company, but certainly no feelings of impending doom due to market or incompetent leadership. It’s fine. Just, fine.
