I had my "power day" last week. It's been about ~5 business days with no word. This is for a PA-level (Sr. SWE) position. Recruiter is radio silent despite emails. I think the interviews went pretty well  TC: 0 inb4 Capital One sucks to work at/is a PIP factory: Yes, I know. But the office is like right next to my house. #capitalone
It took me 2 weeks to get rejected for same level after recruiter kept ghosting me.
Can you please share your interview experience?
It took more than a week for them to get back to me, and even when they setup a time to call for an update, they were late by 25 minutes. I was already checked out by then when they said I passed, but they went with someone else.
Took about a week for the recruiter to get back to me, when I interviewed. I think it's dependent on when everyone can get around to giving their feedback, and if the recruiter is also around (not on vacation).
Im assuming you ended up getting the offer? I had my Power Day on last Thursday and havent heard anything so far
Yes, I received an offer.
Did you do the strategic business case? Can you share the exact question? I have a powerday coming up.
Did you hear back OP? I am also waiting still for senior SWE role
Yeah I passed it but the position was closed, so now I’m in “team matching.”
oh, how long did it take until the recruiter reached out with the pass?
After Power Day there’s a consensus meeting where the interviewers get together to discuss the candidate. They prefer to schedule the meeting for the next business day, but the exact timing is driven by the availability of mid- to senior-level engineers, some of whom tend to be permanently on Zoom, especially if they’re people leaders or tech leads. Reach back to your recruiter and ask if they’ve reached consensus on your application.
do u know how it works if you pass but position is closed so its team matching? is it fast to find a different team match?
It can be fairly quick. If you pass your power day, C1 wants to extend an offer. In my case I had several teams trying to convince me to work for them. Sometimes the position you applied for gets closed or up/downleveled. In that case your resume gets circulated and you’re called back for a low-stress job fit interview when there’s an interested team.

Wow! We both picked Capital One for the same reason I knew the next day if I had passed my interview or not, and within 4 days of that I had a Manager interview. But fret not, I've been told these decisions usually rely on how quickly all the interviewers can meet up and talk about your Performance. If they thought you Did poorly, they would have told you by now. Also, if you wanted DM me about working at Capital One let me know, I have my start date on May 20th and I'm nervous as fuck about it
Manager round is no coding right ? More just informal chill conversation kind of thing ?
That's what mine was yeah
