I’m a new Walmart Global Tech associate hired into a HCOL office. After looking further into Cost of living and family factors I’ve decided I no longer want to move to HCOL site and would rather work remotely from current location. My whole team is located in BNTNVL, my current location is much closer to HQ and to me it makes much more sense to work remotely and go into office when needed. Has anyone out there been hired into an office and just not moved? If so, how did WGT handle this? TC: 250K #walmart #walmartglobaltech #wgt
Is there a standard base pay decrease / increase if moving from high cost to low cost area or vice versa ?
You’re going to have a hard time getting it approved. You need a medical exception or something if the kind. True remote exceptions are hard to get now.
Level and YOE ?
450k is likely a senior director assuming lcol. Well assuming your boss is a vp you have some explanation to do. Good luck.

Changing location or getting remote (extremely rare these days) requires approval from your VP.
