Good for entry level engineers to gain experience. Opportunity to work on different projects. Good work/life balance, with a typically low stress work environment.
Paltry compensation and benefits. Management is largely disconnected from what you actually do. Weak company culture. Work assignments can often be menial due to the nature of the business (outsourced work from larger companies). Little opportunity for career growth and advancement.
