Most of the engineering team is made up of very competent engineers. The product and company have great potential.
- The leadership team provides only the most general ideas of where they want to go leaving the ICs and Middle manager guessing what they want us to work on. - For engineers, the pay can be decent if one negotiates well. However this stops after being hired because they refuse to give cost of living raises such that some people make less than the initial offer after inflation despite multiple raises. There are no refreshers unless one is promoted. So if you join at the bottom of a band, you may not see another grant until years after your initial grant had finished vesting. - The CTO does not really perform any of the typical duties of a CTO. He can also be extremely abrasive in Slack chats. - Many people are extremely unprofessional. The C-Suite frequently swear in virtually every communication. Others whine about their personal baggage to the whole company, openly talk about their kinks, and complain about any political event that doesn't conform to an ultra-progressive ideal. - Leadership heavily emphasizes "being your authentic self" and "belonging". This of course only applies if you are on the "approved" side of things. - Only 15 days of PTO and only 8 holidays + 2 floating. They don't give you Black Friday, nor Christmas eve so that is what the floating get used for. - Family health insurance is expensive, almost $800/m
