Culture of fear. Product issues and incidents are routinely covered up to avoid becoming the target of VP ire and the ever present axe of pending layoffs. Seems like the company is laying off people that actually do work, and bringing in more executives. Also making huge spending pushes on gaudy marketing events with way too many swag bags. Meanwhile, worker bees get one day out of 14 off. There are five people barking conflicting orders for every one person actually building something. Management is simultaneously clueless and cruel. Products are a mess that are too complicated to use. Users hate the products over time. Too many bugs and tricky behavior. Nothing is easily configurable. Every minor change becomes an engineering ticket. Some major products that interact with other popular Ecomm platforms barely work, despite being touted as “zero onboarding needed”.
