Just got an entry level sales job at a top tier tech company, right under FAANG. It’s for new grads with no previous experience. On my resume, I had listed a startup I currently work for, 2 years now (as a recruiter) and an internship in finance, think Goldman or JP Morgan. I ended my internship short because I hated the sharks in the industry, but didn’t tell anyone during interview. No one even asked about my internship. On the HireRight employment form, I only listed the startup I currently work for. Will they care that my report comes back with only my current work experience? Or did I screw up? My old internship isn’t even relevant to sales.
Why did u even put internship in hireright
I didn’t. It’s only on my resume. I’m worried HR will ask me why I didn’t list my internship on HireRight.
Should be fine
Yeah internship was not relevant and It was just an internship anyway. Don’t worry.
Yeah that’s no big deal. Congrats on the offer. :)
They only check against what you enter. You are absolutely fine. Stop worrying and start enjoying your weekend.
Thank you!
If you had entered it, it still probably wouldn't have hurt you. They do this to verify that you do not misrepresent yourself, like if you claim you went to MIT and worked at Google on your CV, then not mention them on your background check, it's a major problem.
You will be fine
