[India] What's your NW, age and Total YOE
I know a lot of folks with half a million savings that want to buy a house. Some buying for family expansion or some just want an upgrade. Most of these money are saved during Covid sitting on asses. The minimum wage of nyc is already 16 and the toll is 20. Which are 8 and 11 from ten years ago. Has the housing double? Not really. I think most of it is due to depreciation. Houses get old and worth less. But the price is more or less moderate. You can see buyers are starting to act irrational with the hunger bidding situations. How would young family still afford the American dream? I have no freaking idea. Life is going to suckkkk for people making less than 100k. And for the hyper income families they thought they are 2000 miles high but they are really just floating above water.
Correct, basic supply and demand. Us housing is incredibly cheap. #1 GDP and #99 cost of housing. Incorrect: older housing is more valuable. It's better built and in better locations. Property value is based on location.
How does a young family afford a house? Husband earns 120k, wife earns 80k, and they are okayish paying 3500 a month for 550k house.
