I Failed Microsoft hiring event twice | am i unhirable?

So I attended and not able to get through the hiring event twice, Here is what happened, The first time: 1 - Coin change -- bombed it, solved using recursion, I was bad at DP, felt pretty bad to not even be able to solve some of the first q's i learned in collage. 2 - simple sys-design and LRU --- The best round i feel, A+ 3 - simple array q's cant remember - but solved optimally A 4 - OS question to implement a binary semaphore - wrote pseudo code, based on what i understand, asked a clarifying q's, the interviewer was the HM i guess. went ok ok ------got rejection email after 5 days. saying to improve on coding and problem solving(Fair enough)------- The Second time: this time i solved all last 6 months ms tagged q's, well prepared to solve DP, graph, tree, you name it... but here is how it went, didn't even get any one of the tagged q's. 1 - lld question to implement some sot of a DB and to handle, commits and rollbacks, solved it with little to no hints, interviewer was happy, went well i guess. 2 - some table manipulation q's, did using python, interviewer didnt care language of choice, was able to solve finally, with lil hints. 3 - sys design: design a log monitoring system -- went below average, i realized later that i should have used a TSDB instead of nosql and kafka. i was not even prepared for that much of sys design coz, i heard they wont stress too much on sys design and also my last interview exp confirmed it, my bad, The interviewer tuned out to be the a hiring manger here, Looked too dumb in front of her like a sitting duck to be eaten. 4 - 2d grid q's with a twist(solving using BFS is not optimal here) able to come up with better solution. over all this round went well too. no flaws. got rejection after 3-4 days saying to improve on coding and problem solving. felt miserable and hopeless. sure, i would have done better in sys-design. I feel like the interviews are more on the easy side, but un-predictable. please offer me some insights on what to improve on next. or is this bad luck TC - 0 YOE - 3 #microsoft #softwareEngineering

It’s a numbers game. Keep practicing and interviewing

You have 3 yoe. Cut yourself some Slack. Your career is a marathon, not a race. MSFT is not the end all, be all. Also, you're over thinking the system design. I can assure you that the fact you didn't use a TSDB was not the reason for your rejection.

It’s okay. Keep practicing, half the people on here don’t even know what the difference between a binary semaphore and mutex is
