Im talking about GMO corn that would be modified to be as big as a truck with grains as big as an apple or a melon? #science
Logistics. Would you use ships to transport them?
GMO is still not magic
Why corn ? Why not other grains ?
Physics. Mass grows cubically with length. The corn 🌽 would basically have to be made of wood to support its own weight. Inedible.
This.. you would need to grow it in a lab, no corn stalk would support the weight
Tc or gtfo
It is not like you would actually get more food per acre of land. You are optimizing for the wrong thing.
GMO is more trial and error, plus at that size it would crush itself. On top of that, what would you gain? Current corn harvesting technologies is very efficient
They would have done it already if it were viable and more cost efficient. Imagine the waste if just 1 or 2 corns get some fungal infection.
