I think 10T (higher with adjusted inflation) will make India almost a developed country. What I mean: 1. Everyone will have basic necessities 2. Education to everyone 3. Even the labor class would be living a decent life. 10T means almost 6-7k USD per capita GDP. 25-30k in PPP. Numbers are not adjusted with inflation at 2047. Right now, we're close to 4T. Could we achieve it by 2047?
You gdp per capita has been around 2000 usd for a long time. Your growth was mainly a result of increased working age people and international investment driven by trade war between China and the West. So, go to 3000 will be a big achievement for India. We can talk about 6000 later. Check your birth rate, you may find out the 2047 population will be significantly older than today’s population. China has 10k gdp per capita, it is not a developed country. There is clear education and healthcare gap between its city area and countryside. Probably 20% of the city area looks like developed countries.
China is considered developed by many. I would say they have just crossed the threshold from the world's perception. India wants to get to China's current level in 23 years.
Not by Chinese, western countries consider China as developed to take away all the trade benefits. It is more like China is industrialized, not fully developed. If we consider industrialization, India won’t get anywhere near China even in 2100. Women in China had 70% work participation rate during China’s industrialization, so China had close to 2x workforce than India today at its peak.
It’s not possible if the oligarchs are gobbling up most of the GDP
Yes, true.
India has a larger problem. The internal enemy. It must be squashed before we go supersonic.
How will we do it? Education?
Isn't 10T too less by 2047? With just 4% growth this can be achieved. I think 30T is also achievable by 2047.
Not adjusted by inflation. I basically assumed the current standing of China as the target and calculated based on that. We don't know what the future inflation would be so avoiding that into the calculation. Achieving 10T is not that easy.
Try 100T
Full majority NDA in 2029 followed by 2034 will get us to 10 trillion sometime in 2035
About 1bil population is at sub Saharan level of poverty. This group needs education and upliftment before anything good can happen.
Kahan se aate hain yaar ye log. No question and directly attacking people. Had hai
Total GDP does not matter, if the next 6T GDP is 90% mopped up by the top 1%. This is likely to happen. 4% of Indians pay direct taxes, invest in Equity and have access to other financial Instruments that protects and grows their savings. GDP is deceptive a metric, per capita GDP of non tax payers in India is a metric which should be tracked. Rest 96% live on a daily wage or seasonal wage basis and depend a lot on govt handouts through multiple schemes. Unless this segment triples their earning potential, I dont think overall growth of Indian GDP will change the country much. You will just have a few more pubs in Mumbai, some more business flights Delhi to Bangalore, maybe 10 more airports and ports. Most of this increased GDP will likely make house prices in metros costlier, which is what has happened in the last 10 years in India.
Anything is possible. Need to invest in infra and make our people more civic minded from a young age. Remove caste, regional, language and religious superiority issues. And for Gods sake remove the damn stray animals from the streets. Remove cows, goats, dogs etc. Can’t stand going to India and seeing all that over and over again.
