Your average Indian guy here from a very poor family. Age 35. Work ex: 10 yrs. Working in o9. Solution architect role but very bad at tech. No chance of internal transfer before 5yrs at o9. Have mba from india. IELTS 7.5. don't have budget for usa/Canada masters. Too old for Canada express entry. Where can I settle abroad? If not passport then atleast stay 20-25yrs. Work there, get higher salary and later retire in india. What are my options? #tech #tech
Shift to manager role and the switch to startups or big tech for pay bump
Have you tried applying to European jobs directly? London, Amsterdam, Berlin etc. Also what is your current TC? If you are able to crack top product companies in India, you will be able to save more than Europe.
My tc is 34 lakhs now. Even if I save 50 lakhs a year in india. There is no assurance of good work life balance, good culture more holidays. I have worked in 3 fortune 100 product companies in past. And also IT service companies. Can't avoid the call with us team at night time. Yeah may be working in Europe will solve this problem.
Open LinkedIn.com. Search for jobs and snd apply for jobs in Europe and Canada. If needed, get LinkedIn premium to reach out recruiters. I myself relocated like this. Many of my colleagues moved to Europe, Canada and Australia like this. At least in 2021 and 2022, if you had right skills getting direct interview calls in Europe and Canada was super simple. These thing mostly work if you are a software developer or a niche role at telecommunication, semiconductor or machine learning or NLP kind of roles. If you are working in a service company, your best bet is convince your manager to send you on on site project.
You mentioned - was super simple. So, are these recruitment stopped in 2023 ? Which cities in Europe has more jobs and are open to hire people from india ? Netherlands, uk ?
I am not a HR to know hiring scenario of 2023. I moved in 2021 so how would I know the market and prospects at this time? Like I said, just apply for jobs online or reach out to recruiters on LinkedIn. All it takes is time and commitment from you, doesn't costs anything. It all comes down to your skills. I know people working in India who lost their job during covid and couldn't find one in months. At the same time, some of my friends in India received multiple offers in weeks during same time in India. If you are skilled, up to date in market which is in demand, you are always employable whether in India or outside. Sometimes there can be few weeks to months of delay due to market or things like covid but that's it. It took me 3 months from applying to get an overseas offer, for one of my colleagues it took 1 month and another 6 months.
How long have you been working in o9
Dubai. Easy to find job, as you clearly said you don't mind if you get citizenship or not.
Caneda main kya karoge
Canada is good option to settle abroad. But I am too old for that. I don't want to work in anymore. Tired n frustrated. Working 50hrs a week. 5% salary hike. High taxes on every purchase. Stressful life.
You need a reality check bud. If you think taxes are high in India then Canadian taxes will give you a heart attack and btw there’s no doctor to treat your heart attack in Canada. So beware of what you wish!
