Job interview ASML Netherlands

I received an invitation for a job interview at ASML in the Netherlands. It's about a Software Engineering position at the R&D department. First of all, I'm excited! Everyone I know is pretty hyped about the company. But I've never entered the building: I don't know what to expect exactly or how it would be to work there. They say ASML pays pretty good as well, but what is good? Are there any opportunities to grow or choose another path? I'm actually very curious if there are any ASML employees over here who would love to share their experience with me :)

ASML is basically a monopoly in semiconductor manufacturing machines. I’d check online reviews on Glassdoor, Comparably etc for internal insights. Make sure to communicate and show your excitement during the interviews. Best of luck!

Base pay ranges are defined by levels and listed in employee handbook. Check techpays.eu for an idea of what to expect, its 75-90k€ total comp depending on yoe, relocation package is pretty good though (take care of move, temp housing for 2 months and 10k gross lump sum).

Thanks for your reply! As far as glassdoor goes, it seems the monthly base pay (before taxes) is between 5300 and 5900 euros. And as far as I talked to more people the past couple of days, that should be doable. Perhaps even 6. My current salary is about 85k a year, but that's as a consultant which means I don't earn as much when I take a week off or when I'm sick at home.

Comp structure is base + 8% holiday allowance + 8% 14th wage + company performance dependant bonus 0-20% i think. 5900 is top of range for grade 7. You also get 40 paid days off.

Hope you know something about semiconductor equipment in general. Extra props if you know lithography. You guys sell extreme uv processing equipment that nobody has been able to replicate. I believe the secret sauce is in the lamp being able to put out enough intensity. Euv was needed for smaller features.

Thanks for the tips! A good friend of mine just sent me a lot of videos and articles about ASML, about chip fabrication processes, Euv and also chip fabs like Intel: the one from Linus Tech Tips was pretty nice to watch!! Guess I have some fun homework to do :)

—Salary is average — relocation support is nice, u can even bring your entire house — tech stack is not modern — nice scrum practice — you will work among mid level(based on knowledge) developers — sometimes you don’t k know what u r working on — there are additional benefits are pretty good like holiday, bonus, discounts etc Good luck
