Did anyone attend or planning to attend data analytics and visualization bootcamp offered by UC Berkeley in association with Trilogy Education Services, any feedback ?
Old, but I did. TL;DR: net positive for me in that it helped me improve Python skills dramatically, but other than that pretty shitty. Overall experience was bad enough that I don't list it on my resume because I don't think it adds anything. Would have been better off learning Python on my own, or taking a Python-specific course with narrower focus. Most of the useful stuff (Excel + SQL) I already knew and a bunch of other stuff was either useless or so perfunctory as to be useless. Other students were generally nice, but most very junior in career and only small handful sharp enough that I'd feel comfortable referring them. Grand scheme of things, I wasted a few months time and was out $11k. Not the end of the world, $11k was not a meaningful amount of money given my TC at the time and I negotiated a higher Twitter signing bonus to cover a good chunk of it. But most of my classmates were not in a position to casually write off that expense.
How did it go?
