Got called for an enigineering manager position. Completed the rounds and the recruiter mailed me that the team liked me and they are going to work on numbers. We have a sync up call tomorrow afternoon. Question: how much should i expect and what would be the break down for this role? YOE:13 TC: 350k Austin, texas
You're not getting 350k lol
Ohh is it! What do you think would be the range for a manager?
I don’t think you should expect more than $200k TC, but that depends on level. We’re being acquired by Intuit and all we’ve been told is that comp structure will change but TC won’t be lower.
I can’t imagine more than $150k but let us know what your offer looks like
How does rsu work now? Since they got acquired
Deal hasn’t closed yet. We don’t know individual RSU numbers yet
😂 what if you leaving soon?
Eng manager is the same level as Senior engineer as far as the salary structure goes, that may help your research since there’s more info points for IC salaries than manager salaries online. Senior manager is the same level as staff eng. director is the same as senior staff, etc.
Usually the comp is discussed in the initial phone screen with the recruiter. Additionally there are loose salary requirements posted in the JD. I am quite confident you wont get close to your TC above, but good luck
$350k is not manager level TC for MC. Senior Manager is a stretch at those numbers too. I hope you get it, but I doubt it
I honestly wouldn’t recommend MC at the moment. Especially based on what you’re asking for.
Don’t do it
