I’m going through therapy for trauma related issues, depression, anxiety, and ptsd. It’s been okay, but I know there’s a long way to go. It seems like psychedelic assisted therapy is really popular now, have any of you tried it? Any recommendations or warnings? I keep getting ads for companies like Mindbloom that do ketamine assisted therapy, but I hear there’s MDMA and psilocybin therapy too. Never tried any of it though, my therapist mainly uses CBT and psychosomatic techniques. Looking back on painful memories sometimes and supporting that hurt past self: that kind of thing. I’m not sure I’m healing… but I’m trying to trust the process. #mentalhealth #psychedelic #therapy
Psilocybin helped more with my anxiety and depression than any prescription med I’ve ever taken… and I spent years trying different meds (under doctor’s supervision). I say — try it.
Did you do it with a medical professional? Or microdosing or self medicating?
In what states it's legal? Can it be done online?
I’m in California where mindbloom is available. https://mindbloom-faq.helpscoutdocs.com/article/75-in-which-states-is-mindbloom-available
Psilocybin was incredibly helpful for me. Helped to break a years-long spell of treatment-resistant depression.
I’ve done ketamine infusions, oral ketamine, microdosed psilocybin. Once psilocybin therapy is fda approved I’ll try it. I think these drugs can be very helpful for mental health as it’s more about the experience and how your nervous system feels safe during. There are a lot of charlatans in the space and a lot of scamming as well as sexual abuse during can happen though, so need to find someone legit.
Did any of it work?
All have been working but haven’t completely eliminated. Clean diet, exercise and a consistent sleep schedule are the most important.
When I take off my belt, my pants get looser
Absolutely not
Take a vacation and go off into the woods with some friends on lcd or mushrooms . It is the best therapy possible. Just make sure you know you’re safe in the area and all the friends are trustworthy. It is an incredible time and will change your life for the better.
I’ve done this kind of thing in college with friends. But was looking into more structured approach with a medical professional.
I microdose mushrooms
Ayahuasca with a shaman?
Although for me, intensive yoga cured me almost 80 percent of debilitating anxiety over a 10 year period. But I need to keep practicing. I was in an ashram in the Himalayas.
Doesnt ketamine make you bald?
I don’t think so, maybe? It’s actually used in hair growth stimulation drugs. But these programs give you very small amounts, they’re generally microdosing regimens.
