O1 Visa or EB2 NIW
How good are chances for my O1 visa or do you recommend any other category that fits me . Currently in EU and below is my situation: 1) I am 32 and fresh PhD working in telecom sector 2) 100 citations, 20+ journal & conference articles. 3) Acted as a reviewer for 3+ articles and growing 4) Won an EU level award from a telecom giant 5) My research appeared in a Semiconductor magazine, university and local news 6) Can get recommendations from top professors of my field How good are chances if I approach a company for O1 visa. You can easily qualify for O1.
Pretty good but for Europeans even Eb2 will come thru before the first terms of h1b or L1 is over, you guys are born lucky 🍀
O1 is sponsored, so you are bounded by one company. EB1 and EB2 NIW can be self sponsored. So you can change job however you want. And EB1 EB2 have premiums processing for I140
Isn't EB1/2 NIW too costly and more difficult?
About 10k for i140 and i485, I think getting green card fast and not bound to a company worth much much more than 10k. I have a lawyer I worked with, I approved in 1month with NIW.
I am pretty confident your profile is a shoo-in for O1 visa. I got my O1 visa 5 years ago and had similar credentials. Continue to review as many articles in diverse journals/conferences in your field of expertise as that component is a little weak right now in your profile. However this can be easily improved with a bit of effort. Make sure you get competent attorneys to work on your application. Good luck!!

Yeah. You’ll get the O1 for sure and most probably EB1 too. I went the same route.

I think you can directly apply for EB1 also. Talk to attorney and will get approved within 2-3 month after submission.
