Managed Infrastructure services of IBM demerged and made an independent company called Kyndryl. Which will start operating on its own from 1st January as a publicly listed company.
Is that GTS?
I'm wondering what the play is. IBM also bought a ton of other companies. Was kyndryl not cloud enough?
I used to work with GTS. They used to managed cloud Infrastructure for our product. Is this some kind of attention seeking? I am wondering even IBM fellows with 30 year of experience in IBM is boarding in the ship.
Kyndryl completely separation from IBM and began trading as an independent company on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "KD." IBM has no influence on Kyndryl operational decisions or strategy.
It’s IBM’s technical services team that is now branching off the big island and becoming its own independent company/island. I would think critically about why exactly companies sell off, lay off, or branch certain groups off.
What are you hinting at? I joined IBM so I didn't have to think critically
