I have a home loan which I can payoff early by agressively paying off or selling some stocks to cover for it. It's 2.85% 30y loan. But I m thinking if I keep that money invested in stock for long term perhaps the long term return will be more than the mortgage interest. I wonder how ppl think Abt these two options and eval on it? #investment #loandepot #money #personalfinance #investments
Invest
Keep it in investments.
Mixed. Payoff some, invest the rest in a diversified portfolio.
What? What’s the point of reducing ultra low interest loan?
Cuz, every high reward investment also has higher risk. Don’t lose your shirt, trying to invest everything in stock market.
Invest
Invest and don’t pay mortgage more than needed. Get an investment property if you are willing to go that route
2.85% is lower than inflation, even buying gold and sit on it is better than payoff early
You have a 2.85% loan and want to know if you should pay it off early. Come on man. This is a no brainer.
Pay off always. Having a roof over head is better than investing with stocks being volatile.
